Off the Dock Childrens Book

'Capturing the magic of the Rainbow River` featured in Riverland News

Brothers Peter and Luke Bugbee fell in love with the Rainbow River as children while visiting their grandmother Gloria Williams. They’ve since watched their own young children repeat their same adventures on the river.

A testimony to the love of grandparents

Over the past year, we wrote and illustrated a children's book to gift to our 97 year old grandma titled 'Off the Dock'. It describes our family's cherished childhood memories visiting her house on a pristine river in Florida as children.

A testimony to childhood adventure

We grew up catching turtles and alligators many summers. In the mornings we would paddle up the river and wouldn't return home until sunset with a boat full of turtles to show off to the family before releasing them.

A new generation of adventure

A few months ago we had the first complete version of the book published. We flew out to Florida and surprised her by reading it to her in front of the family including Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. It was a super special time.
